Old Mission in Canon City

Food was so good. The staff is so friendly and courteous. Our hostess Tiffany was exceptional. Would love to go when we visit canyon city.

We stopped by for lunch on July 2, 2020. I ordered the Thursday lunch special. Tago Salad... very interesting food arrived in my table. There is few vegetable (lettuce), I do not like the food I had. I did ask waitress I do not see the enough vegetable she told me that I can order extra vegetables for extra money. I was surprised. I don't think I will visit again.

Great food. I live in Oregon and come to Colorado to visit family. We always make a special trip to have dinner at Old Mission Mexican restaurant. Everything is amazing. Wish I lived closer. Love there green Verde cause. It's hot and spicy.

Not very authentic, but good food at great prices. And the service is always top notch.

This is not your ordinary mexican restaurant. The moment you taste the salsa you'll know. My dad is from Texas, so convincing him to come to a Mexican restaurant in Colorado is no easy task. We initially came for margs (happy hour 2-6pm daily), but stayed for the food and hospitality. Highly recommend the mesquite chicken tacos, green chili salsa (!!!!), and carne asada steak. Also recommend sitting at the bar for 5 star service. Tiffany and Mariah are the bomb dot com. Cannot recommend a better place in Cañon City. 10/10!!

Salsa was just tomato paste. My wife ordered taco salad that looked like regurgitated refried beans. No lettuce at all. She asked for rice and it was $4.95. We don't be going NCAA k

Well it's ok. But fast and hot would best describe this place. We will come back that's for Shure. Thank for the good time

I hoping to find some things good

The 2nd waitress we had. She was beyond pleasant. Other than her. This restaurant has gone totally down hill.

LOVE this place. The food is amazing, the service is fast and friendly and it's over all a super great place to eat.

This has been the BIGGEST waste of $ money $ ever. 6 Tacos almost $40. Let's start with my order being wrong. 6 shredded beef tacos Only onion and Extra cilantro. There was hardly any onion and even less cilantro and cheese when I didn't want cheese. The meat had no flavor tasted like canned dog food. Way way over priced food is bad and didn't get what I ordered not to mention they weren't busy and still took 25 minutes. Still hungry after spending almost $40 that's pathetic. Don't waste your money. Unfortunately I feel I was robbed.

Love their tacos! Our family's go to Mexican food favorite. Clean facility, usually have a good amount of customers but never seems to slow down service. Always recommend and return at least once every couple months!

The food was decent, the waitress was excellent. Our only issue was the wait for our food, several other groups of people arrived after us but were served before us. We ordered the American burger and when we asked for mayo they didn't have any. How do you have burgers on the menu with no mayo?! Again the service was excellent and food was good just don't order the burger.

Great food, friendly and helpful staff. I had the burrito special with green chili and my husband the slopper with fries. Green Chili was excellent. Food came out in good time even though we arrived at the prime lunch hour. Traveling through but wouldn't hesitate to stop in again if we're in town.

I had the machaca enchiladas. Super good ! The green chili is super good. My son order a kids taco and the tortilla was literally cold. Customer service was great! Although, the price is a little too high for the food they serve.

Flavorless, no hot sauce on the table, no vegan options... vegetarian to this place means cheese cheese and more cheese. We had the guacamole tostadas... you’re better off to eat at Walmart because that’s where they got their recipes.

Great food, friendly service. I had tamales and a chimichanga, which tasted great with their half and half salsa verde. My wife had the nacho plate special, which would have feed a small army. Appreciated the measures they put in place for social distancing.

We had lunch here on Saturday. The mesquite chicken tacos were delicious. What makes this place 5 stars is the 3 servers who chatted with us and made us feel like we family during our short time with them. The service was amazing.

Even Covid 19 couldn't ruin my Mission Burrito!

Ended up here as place we wanted to go to was closed. Nice staff. Good service, food out quickly and hot! Tip, Hot Grren Chili is HOT🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶. Food tasted great. Great prices too. Would go back next time in town. Mary took care of us!

This is the first restaurant we've eaten at since restrictions were lifted. The food was absolutely wonderful! Highly highly recommend!!!

This place was amazing. I understand things are difficult right now but definitely was looking to have amazing Mexican food. Maybe we'll try another day in the future.

We shared Old Mission's lunch nachos and the nachos and they were great. We will be back.

It was good as usual, but the service had much to be desired. I was in about 1pm today & the waitress gave my my chips, salsa, menu, utensil, & took my order for drink just fine. When she returned with my drink she asked if ready to order, told her 1 second more. From there on it took about 15min. Before she returned. She seatted 3 different groups & took there orders before mine. When I asked for a straw it took 5 min. I was observing her & she seamed to be running around like a chicken with head cut off. She needs to better organiz her self. I also could her a lot of loud noise coming from kitchen area especially when the waitress were both in there. This was very distracting. Waitress had short light brown hair, only 2 on duty at time. As I 1st stated food was good.

Don't go there. So rude, after an hour of waiting, we left. Never, never go there!!!

We came in and it was seat yourself, the table we chose near the bar because the other section had a very loud party. The waitress came after sometime and was going to serve the chips and salsa, yet we had to ask her to clean the table because it was clearly dirty. We then ordered our food. We asked for a taco for my daughter and 2 for myself with only cheese and meat, when it came out it had lettuce and tomatoes and the waitress realized that and took it back. It took so long to get the same tacos back that my husband was done with his burrito before we even got our tacos back. I could have just taken off the lettuce and tomatoes!! The ground beef was dry. On a positive my husband’s burrito was tasty... very disappointed.

Kim was our server! She was amazing and can tell she loves her job. The food was good. Best part of out visit was kim and her smiling face. Will be back!

We parked our motorhome with tow dolly at the motel 6 where we were staying, however where we parked was not the right spot apparently. So we pulled our unit around the building and through the parking lot which they share with Old Mission. We get almost all the way around it and apparently the owner has parked his Truck right in the middle of the driveway so you cant get around. I went in and politely asked but the staff told me it was the owners truck and that it could not be moved right now, and that he should be leaving here in a little while. They would not even go ask him. We would of been eating here tonight as it is so close to our hotel, but not after that experience. We ended up waiting for about 40 mins. When owner comes out he says "well they should of told me you couldn't back out". You're right. But your staff acted like they were scared of you when I came in and asked them, and they refused to go ask you to come up.

Margaritas are great with fresh lime/lemon juice!

Very unique menu with excellent portions and fresh food. Service was fantastic and environment was good. I would definitely eat here again antyime I am in the area.

Great food if you want the best Mexican food in the area this is the place to go. The Green Chile is outstanding.

Delicious food! Great service! Hadn't been in, in a while vermicelli is the best it's ever been! What ever you are doing don't stop, had to get a second serving delish!

Awesome food just at first they didn't bring out all of the stuff for out order like Paso or lime. Other than that the service was great and I enjoyed my meal.

We waited 45 minutes and the people who came after us got there food first. Then we asked the manager nicely if we could have our food and she was reasonable. In till she almost walked in and said “ you know you guys are pretty rude you should leave “ that’s the worst thing ever even the other people said what? Terrible are person who was nice was our waiter. Terrible management. Also I’m 11 years old and I was so nice to the manager she should know not to say that to a family who was nice.we don’t even live in this town. She also said “ you don’t have a reservation” terrible service.you should NOT go.
